What a busy & exciting time it is - with so many films shooting around SA! You know what that means.... it's time to train!
There are some exciting training opportunities available to both young aspiring actors & professional actors alike, to help you sharpen your screen acting skills. We thought we would make it a bit easier for you by putting all that is currently available in July/August in one easy place!
CBI WORKSHOP July 29 - August 2 2016 (5-Days)
Director Robert Marchand returns to Adelaide in July/August for his exclusive Character Based Improvisation (CBI) Workshop. Director, Writer & Actor participants will be involved in the impro processes from the inside, acquiring direct, first hand knowledge by taking part in progressive character & scene building exercises. Unique & very powerful learning for any Director & Actor.
ESSENTIALS OF FILM & TV COURSE Commencing Mondays from August 15 2016 (8-Weeks, 3 hrs/wk)
This 8-week course is with NIDA-trained Don Kountouris. Suitable for Intermediate actors & dedicated beginners. It will cover all aspects of acting for screen (Film & TV), from realism, script analysis & preparation, being in front of the casting director, to being on set. Develop your confidence in front of the camera, learn to deliver truthful choices, & refine your approach to screen acting.
AUDITION INTENSIVE WORKSHOP Saturday August 27 2016 (1-Day)
This is the first audition workshop we have been able to secure Angela for since January. Very exciting! Want to know how to correctly prepare for & leave an everlasting impression at an audition? Then join us!
Students will be provided with past audition pieces from real film & TV projects prior to the workshop, to prepare & present. Angela will work one-on-one with each student to finesse a winning performance.
DROP-IN SESSIONS First Thursday of every month, 6.30pm (approx 2.5 hours)
A creative hub for actors. During the session actors work on a short scene. The scene is observed & filmed by the instructor & feedback & support offered. Explore & embrace your skills in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere dedicated to working with you & expanding your screen acting range. Observers also welcome. Occasional mid-month sessions available.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY SCREEN ACTING WORKSHOPS July 2016 (2-Days)
A 2-Day Screen Acting adventure for young aspiring actors. Students will learn how to present themselves for camera, ways of developing an on-screen character, how to approach a script & make it real, how to nail a winning film audition & more!
Kids (8-12 years): July 19 & 20 2016 (Tues/Wed) - AT CAPACITY
Teen (13-18 years): July 21 & 22 2016 (Thurs/Fri) - limited places available
FOUNDATION COURSES in Term 3 (10-Week terms, 4.30-6.30pm)
A term program for dedicated & passionate young actors wanting to further their education in screen acting & performance craft. Continuing programs are available for students who have completed an initial term with us.
Kids (8-12 years)
New enrolments: Wednesdays. Continuing Students: Wednesdays or Thursdays
Teens (13-16 years)
New enrolments: Tuesdays. Continuing Students: Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays
